Hi! My name is Willa. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Oregon and the owner of Wildflower Counseling LLC.

I work with teens and young adults who are navigating struggles with body image, self-esteem, anxiety, ADHD, Autism, chronic illness, or their relationship with food.

  • I have over five years of experience providing mental health services across a variety of clinical settings:

  • Outside of my work as a therapist, I enjoy spending time outdoors, attending live theater, and getting lost in mystery or romance novels. I love to cook, play video games, and am exploring more artistic outlets like watercolors and crochet. My partner and I are proud cat parents to three —Fern, Fig, and Clementine— who bring plenty of joy to our lives.

Clinical approach

  • I prioritize our relationship in my therapeutic approach, and consider it the strongest intervention I can offer. I empower you to lead your own healing process (and yes, I will still help you!). I create a safe space for you to explore emotions, improve self-awareness, and achieve self-actualization. Our therapist-client relationship also acts as a model for healthy interaction, focusing on empathy, genuine connection, and mutual respect.

  • Explore the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I apply CBT interventions with a flexible and human approach.

  • Practice mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, emotion regulation, and distress tolerance skills. Increase your capacity to balance opposing ideas ("dialectics"). Build a life that you consider worth living.

  • Explore values, increase present moment awareness, and practice acceptance around your experiences. Become a curious and open-minded observer of your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Identify avoidance and find more ways to commit to value based action.

  • Engage in collaborative, goal-oriented discussion around readiness for change. Be empowered to create change in your life through exploring the meaning, importance, and consequences of your actions.
